“A father to the fatherless…God sets the lonely in families.” (Psalm 68)
Twelve-year-old “Drake” burst into our hearts in October of 2016 after a high school friend posted pictures of him from her visit to his orphanage in Beijing, China. (Thank you, Melinda!)
This last month we received final approval for the adoption and are raising the necessary amount to travel and meet our new son, hopefully, this summer of 2018. We are also saving for possible medical expenses for his special needs that will be addressed once home. Our goal is to raise $30,000.
Although it has been a long journey with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we have watched God remove the obstacles with each passing month. He has provided in ways we could never have imagined through the generosity of family, friends, and even strangers.
We are close to being able to bring our son home now, yet there are more mountains that need to be moved. Please join us in prayer that “the mountains will melt like wax before the Lord” (Psalm 97:5) and consider giving financially as God brings “Drake” into a loving family making OneLessOrphan!
